Welcome to The Snout Bureau. These terms govern your use of thesnoutbureau.com and any purchase you make from us. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these terms. The Snout Bureau offers two personalized portrait experiences: The Profession Files (pet-only portraits) and The Companion Chronicles (owner-and-pet portraits).

Personalized products

Every portrait is custom-made from the photographs and written answers you provide. You confirm that you own, or have permission to use, all photographs and information you submit, and that they do not infringe anyone else's rights. You retain ownership of your photographs; you grant us a limited license to use them solely to create your artwork, produce your order, and provide customer support.

Written concept and artwork

The written concept you select before checkout sets the creative direction for your order. After purchase, we create the artwork from that concept and your submitted photos, review it internally, and send it to production. Artwork proofs are not sent for customer approval, and artwork revisions, preference-based changes, and changes of mind are not available after purchase.

Please check your written concept, your pet's name and your photos carefully before checkout — that's the last point where changes are possible. After purchase, we can't make preference-based changes, including a different scene, concept, pose, background, clothing, composition, expression, art style, colors, title, story direction, or replacement photos or details. If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrectly produced, our replacement guarantee applies.

Orders, pricing, and payment

Prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout and may change without notice. Payment is processed securely by Shopify; we never see your full card details. An order is accepted when payment is confirmed. We may decline or cancel an order — for example due to pricing errors, suspected fraud, or unusable photographs — and will refund any payment taken in that case.

Shipping and delivery

We currently ship within the United States. Artwork: 1–2 business days after checkout, once we have usable photos and complete details. Every design is checked before printing. Printing: 2–7 business days after your artwork is complete. Standard U.S. shipping: 2–5 business days. Most orders arrive about 5–14 business days after checkout, once we have usable photos and complete details. Delivery estimates are not guaranteed; holiday periods, carrier delays, and similar events may extend them. Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery by the carrier. Returns and replacements

Because every piece is custom-made, we cannot accept returns or exchanges for a change of mind or customer-selected options. If your blanket arrives damaged, defective, or incorrectly produced, contact us within 30 days of delivery with your order number and clear photographs and we will arrange a replacement at no additional cost. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the site, attempt to bypass security or rate limits, submit unlawful or infringing content, or interfere with other customers. Our personalization forms are protected by automated abuse-prevention checks.

Intellectual property

The Snout Bureau name, site design, and non-personalized content are our property. Your finished personalized artwork is made for you; we may display completed artwork in our portfolio only where you have given us permission.

Disclaimers and liability

The site and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, The Snout Bureau is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages; our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which The Snout Bureau operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Please contact us first at hello@thesnoutbureau.com so we can try to resolve any dispute informally.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted on this page applies to orders placed after it is published. Material changes will be noted on this page.
